Imagine if the suitcase you brought on your mission trip contained everything you owned. For some families seeking shelter, it’s a reality. The youth at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church decided to partner with local organizations that provide shelter and food by helping provide for another need: clothing.
“Many of these families have lost their homes and belongings due to a variety of situations, ” said Paige. “We see families who have everything they own in suitcases and sacks they bring with them.”
To help serve these families, the youth group has collected clothing donations for infants, teenagers and everyone between. They are committed to “stocking and maintaining the closet so it will be an inviting, fun place to ‘shop’ for the families.” They’ve also committed to praying for the families they serve and for the local organizations serving the homeless.
