Read. Think. Pray. Do.
*We’re posting a six-day devotional this week. Come back each day and spend some guided time with Jesus.
Your mission trip might be over but your journey continues. We hope this devotional will serve to help you continue to engage with God and God’s Word. As you read from the Bible, think about what God is saying. Pray and talk to God as you process your experience and then do something about what you are learning.

DAY 3
Read.
Think.
What do you typically worry about?
If you were a child in the community you just served, what would you worry about?
Why would God provide for birds and flowers but let innocent children suffer from hunger and violence? Read this passage again from the perspective of one of the people you met during your mission trip.
Jesus doesn’t say we won’t experience hard things.
He does know what we need.
He does promise not to leave or forsake us.
He does invite us to bring our worries to him.
Pray.
What do you worry about? Tell God about it. What do you hope for? Tell God about it.
What concerns do you have for the community you served? Tell God about it.
Do.
Find John 16:33. Write this verse out and put it somewhere you will see it every day.
